W Hotels Worldwide, which is part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, will open a new property in Aspen next year, in time for the '17 ski season. It will be a JV between Sarpa Development and Northridge Capital. The project, W Aspen and The Sky Residences at W Aspen, will be in the space occupied by the Sky Hotel, and will contain 88 guest rooms and 11 fractional residences, reports the Denver Business Journal. The property will also include a 12k SF rooftop bar and pool. [DBJ]
