New Player Buys Tech Center Hotel

Rockies Lodging Capital (RLC), a newly formed player in hotel investment, acquired the 150-room Best Western Plus-Denver Tech Center in Greenwood Village for $15M. RLC principal Phillip Hutchins explains that the property has what the new investors are looking for: strong current yield, good location and a variety of healthy demand generators. Phillip formed the company along with principal Stephen Mills. CBRE Hotels' Larry Kaplan and Mark Darrington repped the seller, local ownership group DTC LLC, in the deal.
