Healthcare real estate firm Caddis will open Heartis MidCities in Bedford in winter 2017. The 178-unit, 179k SF senior housing community will have independent living, assisted living and memory care units.

Outdoor features include large, secured courtyards, outdoor walking trails and lots of landscaping. Inside, residents have game and activity rooms and a barber shop. Daily services include chef-prepared meals, a 24-hour emergency call system, housekeeping and laundry.

This marks the fifth senior community in DFW for Caddis after opening Heartis Arlington in August and Heartis Eagle Mountain in Fort Worth in May. Heartis Cleburne and Orchard Park of Murphy were the first Caddis communities in the Metroplex.

Portland-based Frontier Management will manage the property. Austin-based Katus is the architect and Cameron, TX-based EBCO is the general contractor.
