A national retail real estate investment firm expanded its Dallas-Fort Worth portfolio with the purchase of a shopping center in a Fort Worth suburb.

“South Town Crossing is effectively positioned to serve the community for years to come,” Westwood Financial CEO K.C. Bills said in a statement. “Expanding our presence in this development demonstrates our confidence in the market and our focus on creating lasting value for our shareholders.”
Tenants at the fully leased South Town Crossing II include Petco, Mathnasium, Mattress Firm and Glitz Nails.
With the acquisition, Westwood Financial owns 82% of shop space in the Target-anchored South Town Crossing development.
SALES
Link Logistics acquired a two-building industrial portfolio totaling more than 352K SF in the DFW and Austin metropolitan areas. The portfolio includes a 291K SF warehouse property at 450 Airline Drive in Coppell and a 61K SF facility at 2401 Double Creek Drive in Round Rock. Both properties were 100% leased at the time of transaction. The deal was brokered by Stream Realty Partners.

Harbert Management Corp. sold a pair of Dallas senior housing communities as part of a series of transactions totaling $455M, with five facilities changing hands. The Dallas facilities were the 215-unit Tradition Prestonwood Independent Living and the 113-unit Tradition Prestonwood Assisted Living.
Urban Logistics Realty acquired 53 acres of Harris Ranch in Denton to build a master-planned business campus. Groundbreaking is scheduled for early August, with an anticipated delivery in the third quarter of 2027. The first phase of the project will cover 53 acres and feature five industrial buildings totaling 656K SF.

CBRE announced the sale of two newly built industrial buildings totaling 102K SF in DFW. The nearly 51K SF industrial building at 5812 N. Freeway in Fort Worth and the 51K SF facility at 1805 Justin Road in Flower Mound are both fully leased to Tesla Inc. CBRE’s Anthony DeLorenzo, along with Sammy Cemo and Bryan Johnson of the firm’s Private Capital Partners, represented the undisclosed seller in the transactions.
LEASES
Sky Zone leased nearly 31K SF of retail anchor space in Grapevine Towne Center on State Highway 114. Weitzman's Lynn Van Amburgh and Avery Frisbie negotiated the lease along with the firm’s Jennifer Chandler. Sky Zone was represented by Albie Misci and Bill Titterington with Locate AI.
Granite Properties and Highwoods Properties completed a pair of lease signings at the 642K SF 23Springs development at 2323 Cedar Springs Road in Uptown Dallas. International law firm King & Spalding’s Dallas office will double its footprint with a lease of nearly 53K SF, covering the entire 12th and 13th floors. King & Spalding will move into 23Springs in the second quarter of 2027. Cushman & Wakefield’s John Izard, Carla Williams, Tom Sutherland and Ryan Hoopes represented King & Spalding.
An undisclosed tenant also signed nearly 39K SF covering the 21st floor and half of the 22nd floor. JLL’s Jayme Schutt and Jason Dodson represented the tenant. Granite’s in-house leasing team of Robert Jimenez, Burson Holman and Elizabeth Fortado represented the company in the transactions. 23Springs was delivered in April 2025 and is now 93% leased.
CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT

Weitzman’s Emilie Paulson, Maggie Hansen and Addison Gragson will serve as project representatives for Melissa Park Village, while the firm’s Scott Smith and Corbin Tanenbaum are marketing land at the project for future multifamily development.
Flexential purchased 110 acres in Kaufman County to build its fourth and largest data center campus in DFW. The planned 375K SF initial phase of development in Talty secured power to support 36 megawatts of capacity. Site work is expected to begin in early 2027, with first customer availability in late 2028. The 110-acre campus has the potential to support a trio of 36 MW data center buildings as additional phases are developed.
NorthPoint Development, in partnership with joint venture associates Olympus Ventures and the Rockhill/Cole Family Partnership, will break ground this week on Building 1 at the Intermodal Logistics Center West master-planned industrial campus 25 miles north of Fort Worth.
The estimated $750M campus will encompass nine planned buildings totaling around 8.4M SF across 1,000 acres. Building 1 will deliver more than 1M SF of Class-A industrial space. Crossland Construction will serve as the general contractor for the project.
Trademark Property Co. and Harrison Street Asset Management started work on Anthem, a redevelopment of the 43-year-old Lincoln Square shopping center in Arlington. The firms are joint venture partners on the $135M project, with InterBank providing refinancing and construction financing.
The 43-acre development is scheduled to be completed in early 2028. Anthem will feature 404K SF of retail, food and beverage, public spaces and entertainment space. Partners on the project include design architect Dwell Design Studio, general contractor Joeris General Contractors, civil engineer Mma and structural engineer Wright Engineers.
FINANCING
BWE secured a $16.7M loan to provide permanent financing for the 200-unit Cobblestone Village affordable community in Grapevine. Cobblestone Village was constructed in 1983 at 951 Turner Road. BWE’s Jake Roberts originated the financing from Freddie Mac on behalf of Falkin Platnick Realty Group. The loan has a seven-year term and full-term interest-only payments. Its proceeds will be used to make further capital improvements to the property.
JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality group arranged the refinancing for the 300-room Hilton Dallas Plano Granite Park in Plano on behalf of Driftwood Capital. JLL secured the floating-rate, three-year loan through a debt fund. Driftwood Capital acquired the hotel in June 2023 and completed a comprehensive $8.5M renovation in March 2025. The JLL Capital Markets team was led by Jeff Bucaro and Malia Buljat.
PEOPLE
Architecture and design firm Corgan hired Chris Holm as principal and chief information officer. Holm will lead the firm's technology strategy and operations, helping align technology, data and cybersecurity with business priorities.
BNSF Logistics appointed Tim Humbert its chief commercial officer. Humbert joins BNSF Logistics with more than 25 years of executive leadership experience. He will lead BNSF Logistics' commercial organization, including sales, business development, commercial operations and marketing.
D.A. Davidson & Co. hired John Baumgartner as vice chairman and co-head of equity capital markets. Baumgartner will focus on the origination, marketing, pricing and distribution of the firm's equity capital-raising transactions. He brings more than 25 years of equity capital markets experience and was most recently with Lake Street Capital Markets.
Dallas-based data center company CyrusOne appointed John Hatem its CEO and a member of the board. Hatem joined CyrusOne in 2011 and held a series of increasingly senior roles, culminating in the role of president before his latest appointment.
Green Brick Partners will promote Jed Dolson from chief operating officer and president to co-CEO on Oct. 15. Dolson joined Green Brick Partners in 2013 as the head of land acquisition and development.
National design and build firm KAI Enterprises promoted K-12 Market Leader Catherine Dalton and Civic, Municipal & Cultural Market Leader Brien Graham to principal, while Principal-Vice President Derwin Broughton was elevated to senior principal-vice president, and Principal-Architecture Blaik Ritchie was moved up to senior principal-design operations.
Dalton has nearly 20 years of design experience and joined KAI in 2023. Graham has more than 20 years of experience and joined KAI in 2024. Broughton started at KAI in 2013 and will be responsible for business development and client relations for the firm’s four business units. Ritchie has more than 30 years of experience and joined KAI in 2025.
Logistics Property Co. appointed Kelan Padgett vice president of the company’s south region. Based in Dallas, he is responsible for development and leasing in the region and will support the management of the company’s Texas portfolio.
Swinerton Builders added Lynn Tompkins and Matt Letlow and their combined 45 years of experience to its Dallas leadership team. With more than 20 years of experience leading capital construction programs and education projects, Tompkins will be project executive and education market lead. He will lead the growth and delivery of Swinerton's K-12 and higher education portfolio across North Texas.
Letlow brings extensive experience to his new role of project executive and will help drive project delivery excellence, support strategic growth initiatives and strengthen client relationships across North Texas.
Nathan Zinn joined JLL as lead director, asset management services for the Americas and will spearhead implementation and commercial growth across U.S. markets. Zinn brings more than 25 years of real estate investment and portfolio management experience. He joins from CBRE Investment Management.
