Bob's Steak and Chop House

Despite this restaurant's popularity, weekday lunches remain uncrowded. Order a big-as-your-face Cote De Boeuf bone-in ribeye for celebratory lunches. With crowd pleasers such as creamed corn, fried calamari and New York strips, you might wish Bob's didn't have valet so you could walk off some of those calories. The familiarity of this DFW staple (which has locations in Dallas, Fort Worth, Grapevine and Plano) means you spend less time looking at the menu and more time talking shop.

Sevy's Grill

Head to Sevy's if you want to see and be seen. Its American fare has kept Dallas businessmen and businesswomen coming back for power lunches for nearly 20 years. You can't go wrong with the bacon-wrapped quail or the rosemary chicken.

R&D Kitchen

Where else in the Big D can you get a decent spicy tuna roll, carnitas sammie and Greek-style chicken all in one place? R&D accommodates groups well and has a private parking lot, making it worth the short drive to University Park. R&D helps you send the vibe, "I mean business, but I don't take myself too seriously."

Truluck’s

This steak and seafood house gets a reputation as a dinner destination, but Truluck's atmosphere for business lunches can be—dare we say it—lucky. Go for the tuna taretate tower and stay for the scallops. Half-priced cocktails during daily happy hour make for a good excuse to cold call a potential client and see if they like Old Fashioneds.

Ocean Prime

If you're meeting for a lower-key lunch, get the Wagyu cheeseburger. If you're gathering for a more formal dinner, get the Chilean sea bass. Valet parking makes for easy in and out (always a consideration in Uptown) and WiFi allows you to send a quick couple of emails while you wait.
