Liberty Multifamily Plans New Development In Wilmer

Liberty Multifamily is working on plans to create a 100-acre mixed-use project that would have retail, residential and medical facilities in Wilmer.

A vacant tract at I-45 and Mars Road will be the new center of a development called Liberty Crossing, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Restaurants and retail would be built along the freeway, with apartments constructed behind the retail. The company is also hoping to build 68 rental townhomes and 90 single-family homes.

Liberty Multifamily is in talks with retail partners to develop the project's commercial portion and is also talking to medical providers.

Wilmer has seen significant growth in the last few years with companies like Procter & Gamble, Whirlpool, Unilever, Ace Hardware and others keeping warehousing facilities there. [DMN]
