Lakeside Multifamily Breaks Ground In Mercer Crossing

Transcontinental Realty Investors and Abode Properties have broken ground on Lakeside Lofts, a 498-unit multifamily property along a lake in Mercer Crossing.

Beyond the standard pools, clubhouse and fitness center, it will feature a theater, a bocce ball court and a hike and bike trail.

Lakeside Lofts is the eighth multifamily property TRI has developed or leased up so far in 2018, and TCI CEO Daniel Moos said more are still to come.

Mercer Crossing is a $1B, 1,200-acre mixed-use development in Farmers Branch with single-family and multifamily properties, office, retail and hotels. It is a strong hotel location with above-average occupancy for the DFW area. Lakeside Lofts is being built next to Omni Hotel, and two other hotels are under construction nearby.

Mercer Crossing drew national attention in early May when Megatel Homes brought in Rudy Giuliani to speak at the property's grand opening and drum up interest in Megatel's houses.
