Columbia at Renaissance Square broke ground yesterday in Southeast Fort Worth. The master planned community will have three phases of mixed-income housing, office, retail, education centers, walking and biking trails, a YMCA, a grocery store, a farmers market, gardens and health clinics.

The project closed in August 2016 and is expected to be completed by late 2017. Phase 1 includes 140 units of mixed-income housing, and Phase 2 contains 120 units of senior housing and will begin construction in early 2017. Columbia Residential, the City of Fort Worth, BBVA Compass Bank, RBC Capital Markets and Renaissance Heights United are working together on the project built by KWA Construction.
