Bayside To Break Ground This Week

The $1B Bayside development on Lake Ray Hubbard in Rowlett is set to break ground on April 26. The 262-acre mixed-use project (rendered here) will feature housing for every stage of life from condos to luxury homes totaling about 3,000 residential units (Western Rim Development is starting 845 apartment units in September), expansive green spaces, waterfront parks, marinas, restaurants, hotels, resorts, medical towers and retail. It will top 1M SF of commercial space.

Bayside’s crown jewel is an eight-acre Cabo-style Crystal Lagoon.

Bayside predicts an eight- to 10-year build-out for the entire concept.
