$85M Convention Center & Hotel Coming to Allen

An $85M hotel and convention center (with 64k SF of meeting space) project on an almost seven-acre parcel at North Central Expressway at Bethany Drive in Allen will be prsented to the City Council on Tuesday for approval. The City of Allen, the Allen Economic Development Corp and the Allen Community Development Corp will contribute $12M to fund the project, reports the Dallas Morning News. TCH Altera Partners will build the facilities with construction starting this year for a 2017 delivery. Aimbridge Hospitality will manage the 290-room hotel, which will be designed by 5G Studio Collaborative. The City will solicit requests for a developer. [DMN]
