Calcomp, a manufacturer of commercial aircraft engine composites, is moving its manufacturing division from Santa Fe Springs, CA, to Fort Worth. The company selected a 25k SF facility in north Fort Worth near Loop 820 and Blue Mound Road.
The company plans to move in phases from June to December. 15 employees will transfer from California and and up to 35 North Texans will be hired from the local workforce.
Fort Worth was chosen in part because of the strength of the city’s aviation workforce. There are more than 22,000 aerospace employees, and former military personnel with experience in avionics and engineering.
