Mid-States Distributing Co., a $6.5B farm store retailer, is moving its corporate headquarters from Minneapolis to the Mercantile Center in north Fort Worth, NAI Robert Lynn announced Tuesday.

The 65-year-old company purchased a two-story building, which formerly housed the American Paint Horse Association. The 40K SF building is at 2800 Meacham Blvd. in Fort Worth and allows Mid-States Distributing the opportunity to almost double the size of its headquarters, providing more room for 100-plus employees.

APHA sold the property to Mid-States and intends to move its own national headquarters to the Fort Worth Stockyards Horse and Mule Barns.

“We’re thrilled to call Fort Worth our new home,” Mid-States Chief Operating Officer Jeff Rash said in a statement. “This move marks a milestone for the company. The building’s amenities, its western design and collaborative work space are attractive features and align with our brand’s identity, and we’re happy to bring more opportunities to our suppliers and members.”

NAI Robert Lynn Executive Vice President Colt Power represented both parties in the sale of the building to Mid-States. Power also assisted APHA in landing its new headquarters location in Fort Worth.

The corporate relocation resulted from the efforts of both NAI Robert Lynn and the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, which worked together to attract the multibillion-dollar company to the area.

“As an organization dedicated to connecting people, the Fort Worth Chamber was instrumental in bringing Mid-States to this region,” Power said in the release. “We were excited to work with the organization to find the perfect new space for Mid-States, offering their staff a positive business climate and a great quality of life.”

The new headquarters campus will provide Mid-States with parking spaces, a large loading dock, meeting spaces, an on-site cafeteria, courtyard and a third wing, which can eventually add up to 20K SF of additional space.
