Wicker Park Apartments may move forward with a planned 34-unit apartment building near the Division Street Blue Line Subway station after the city approved a zoning change for the project, under the newly revised TOD ordinance.
East Village Lofts will also contain eight parking spaces when it's delivered in summer 2017. The site at 1054-1100 N Ashland is 710 feet from the Blue Line and close to several bus routes and the Milwaukee Avenue bike lanes.
Wicker Park Apartments is betting large on Blue Line TODs. It also has a 105-unit project underway at 710 W Grand. Its Wicker Park Lofts project at 1515 W Haddon is nearing completion. The group owns and manages 31 properties totaling 250 units in Wicker Park, Ukrainian Village, East Village and Noble Square.
