The Atrium Village Development is set to begin, three years after the Chicago Plan Commission approved the project. The first phase of the 1,500-unit project at 311 W Hill St in Old Town will start with the demolition of five buildings, to be replaced by a 32-story tower with 405 apartments. According to DNAInfo, the first phase of apartments will range from studios to three-bedroom units. Studios will rent for $1,500 while one-bedrooms will range from $1,800 to $2,100. Original plans called for three other towers of 36, 41 and 44 stories. [DNA]
