Check Out Laurus Corp's $7.6M Renovations At The Chicago Renaissance O'Hare

The O'Hare hotel market will always be in demand from travelers and tourists flying into and out of Chicago's busiest airport, and the owners of older hotels are busy upgrading common areas in their assets to meet the demands of guests.

Laurus Corp bought the 15-story, 362-room Renaissance Chicago O'Hare Suites Hotel in 2013 and recently completed a $7.6M renovation project. Let's see how that turned out.

1. Lobby

The Renaissance's upgraded lobby boasts contemporary lounge seating, diffused lighting, a library nook designed to meet the needs of business and leisure travelers and an enclosed modern fireplace.

2. Concierge Lounge

Here's one of two concierge lounges intended to complement the hotel rooms. These feature casual and communal seating, and wide windows allowing for ample daylight.

3. Bar

The R Bar features all-new flooring, high bar seating and a comfortable lounge area. Other amenities include a restaurant, a Starbucks, a fitness center, an indoor heated pool and a whirlpool spa.

4. Conference Rooms

To accommodate business travelers, the Renaissance O'Hare features 22k SF of meeting and event space, including 13 conference suites set up boardroom style.

5. Upgraded Common Walkways
