Presence St. Joseph Hospital Completes $157M Overhaul

Presence St. Joseph Hospital in Lincoln Park completed a $157M renovation project it hopes will modernize the 50-year-old campus and position it to compete with other hospitals. The new 219k SF Center for Advanced Care outpatient facility connects to the hospital via a third-floor pedestrian bridge and is Presence's biggest investment in the hospital since it purchased the building four years ago. The new building allows Presence St. Joseph to house its outpatient surgery, digestive health and cancer treatment practices under one roof. The hospital spent $11M overhauling its emergency rooms in 2012, and will turn double-bed patient rooms into private rooms. [Crain's]
