Northwestern University Buying Rehab Institute Building

Northwestern University is buying the current home to the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago in Streeterville. NU already owns the land where the building is located and RIC is building a new $550M HQ two blocks away it'll call home in 2017. NU has no immediate plans on how to repurpose the 19-story building at 345 E Superior but it could become office space, according to Crain's. The building may also be used for academic purposes; it's located near NU's Feinberg School of Medicine. [Crain's]
