Kronos HQ In Lowell To Be Even Larger

Back in June, Kronos, one of the largest tech employers in Massachusetts, held a Golden Sledgehammer ceremony for the groundbreaking of the company’s 435k SF corporate HQ in the CrossPoint campus in Lowell. At the time, the company planned to occupy one entire building and two floors of another building. But Kronos is clearly in growth mode: as 2016 ended, the company decided to take an additional 37k SF in a third CrossPoint tower beginning in 2018, the Boston Business Journal reports.

The new space brings Kronos to more than 17 total floors and 500k SF. The company is leaving a 330k SF HQ space in Chelmsford, where it's been since 2000. The company is now focused on Kronos Cloud, its software-as-a-service offering, which has 20,000 customers, up from 16,000 in 2015 and 12,000 in 2014. Kronos employs more than 5,000 workers and is planning additional hiring. [BBJ]
