Cool Office Space: HMFH In Central Square

HMFH Architects occupies one floor of a building designed by Josep Lluis Sert in Central Square Cambridge. The firm recently had the chance to design its own office space as it moved from the third to the fourth floor.

130 Bishop Allen Drive is a historically significant office building that's been restored to reflect its strong mid-century design. In addition to the building exterior, the renovation of the lobby and one floor of the building as new offices for HMFH revitalized created spaces that reflect the original design.

The space is flooded with natural light. Comprised of open studios, the design supports the firm’s philosophy by providing an atmosphere that encourages collaboration.

Augmenting the studios are private offices, small conference rooms, and a large kitchen that serves as the central activity hub and hosts lunchtime presentations and firmwide gatherings.
