Wynn Breaks Ground On $2B Resort

Yesterday, Wynn Resorts held the ceremonial construction start for its $2.1B, 3M SF gaming resort on the banks of the Mystic River in Everett despite objections from officials in adjacent Somerville and Boston.

Suffolk Construction won the construction contract for Wynn Boston Harbor, which will include a hotel, a harbor walk, restaurants, a casino, a spa, retail outlets, and meeting and convention space.

The year-round harborwalk will have a picnic park, paths for bikers and pedestrians, viewing decks, waterfront dining and retail, a performance lawn, floral displays and boat docks.
