| We snapped CBT Architects? Robert Brown, designer of the largest new commercial project under construction here—Atlantic Wharf(but you knew that)—at a recent reception there. What really excites him is that the complex will ?unlock the site?s civic potential? with three new public spaces. It will add to the Harborwalk and create more green space for concerts, parties and brown bag lunches. Inside will be a two-story, enclosed ?Town Square? with retail, art exhibits and places to gather in our oh-so-long winters. Finally, an eight-story atrium between the Russia and Tufts Graphic Arts buildings will feature a full length waterfall, giant tree-like columns, and seating for a quick lunch or corporate event. |
