Up We Go in Lynn

In Lynn, Carmen Talavera, Julitza Llanos, Dr. Yvonne Smikle, and MaryLee Ambrose recently had a celebration of their own: topping off of the city's new $18.8M community health center ahead of schedule. The builder, Bond, hoisted the final steel I-beam in place during a reception last week at the site on Union Street. They were joined by some of the center?s staff and board members— project architect HDR Warner + Associates, Local 7 Boston Ironworkers, neighbors and others. The topping-off marked the close of the foundation and framework phase of the project, which broke ground this past June and is slated for completion July 2011.
