Summer School for Belmont

Last week was the groundbreaking for Belmont?s Wellington Elementary School, intent on being a certified Massachusetts High Performance Green School. Skanska USA is construction manager, Jonathan Levi Architects the lead architect, and Burt/Hill the associated architect. On hand: superintendent of Belmont Schools George Entwistle; State Rep. Will Bronsberger; chair of Belmont Board of Selectmen Ralph Jones; principal of Wellington Amy Wagner; state treasurer and chairman of MA School Building Authority Tim Cahill; executive director of MSBA Katherine Craven; State Sen. Steven Tolman; Belmont School's director of finance Gerry Missal; Jonathan Levi Architects' Jonathan Levi; and Skanska EVP Paul Hewins.
