Spec Lab: Where Are the Tenants?

In Q4 11,Skanska Commercial Developmentboldly launched a spec office/lab development in the East Cambridge life science market (150 Second St). Construction of the base building was completed in October 12. The 123k SF building isempty. A knowledgeable source who asked to speak anonymously says negotiations are under way with a life science company that may take at least 50% of the Elkus Manfredi-designed project, being leased by JLL. (Hopefully soon--a life science building without life is just confusing.) Watch this space for anannouncement soon.
