Sovereign's MF Loans

Yesterday, we spoke with Sovereign/Santander?s John Everly, snapped here last week with Sullivan & Worcester?s Sander Ash. His team is originating new loans, primarily for stabilized Class A multifamily, retail, and office properties. John likes apartment buildings around downtown Boston, where rents have held up well during the downturn. People who might have bought before the recession are still renting, the regional economy continues to provide good paying jobs, and the lack of developable land restricts supply. He calls it a win, win, win for multifamily.
