Jim links the Seaport?s appeal to the massive amount of new infrastructure delivered by the Big Dig, once a much-maligned project that's finally getting its due. He also points to substantial CRE investment led by Vertex? $900M HQ being built on Fan Pier, the nation's largest private construction project. (The Big Dig is like Barry Manilow, people make fun of it all the time, but secretly, they all love at least some of it.) Jim also points to the Boston CRE market?s improving fundamentals, enhanced by the mix of new  residential and restaurant developments that are transforming  the waterfront into a true live/work/play neighborhood that makes it a target of US and international investors.
