REBUILDING BOSTON

Rebuilding Together Boston rounded up 550 volunteers to contribute about $250k worth of carpentry, painting, landscaping and other repair work on seven homes and the Cristo Rey school in Dorchester a few weeks ago. On National Rebuilding Day, local volunteers like Gilbane Building?s Alejandro Miranda and MAS Building and Bridge?s Matthew Maslen put time in at the school while 250k volunteers took up tools in 200 communities across the country. In Boston, others from Shawmut Design and Construction, MetLife, Fidelity, Booz Allen, Babson Capital, and many more pitched in to save affordable housing for folks who needed new storm gutters, a bathroom floor, or plumbing.
