PEOPLE'S: BUYING LOANS AGAIN

People?s United Bank?s Ken Nuzzolo (left), whom we snapped at a recent RELA breakfast, is in the business of buying into syndicated and portfolio CRE and MF loans around the country. He left the market in ?08 and jumped back in late '09. What interests him now are retail, MF,and office properties in his home base of NYC, DC, Connecticut, and Boston. He's looking at acquisitions, refinancing, and new development including a new MF project in DC. It may still be a pretty wild time in CRE, but Ken says what he's doing ?is a fairly traditional line of business.?
