| We snapped Pare Corp?s Ken DeCosta who tells us that on Friday the civil engineers sent Ai3 architects the contract to sign for the new $80M Franklin High School they're designing together. Ken says that the project funded by the Massachusetts School Building Authority will be built on the same Oak Street site as the existing high school. The old school will continue in use until construction on the new 160k SF school for 1,650 students is completed in summer ?14. Then the old school will be demolished and its footprint transformed into parking, an athletic field or some other use. |
