Millennium Partners' co-founder Tony Pangaro, who recently broke ground on the $200M Hayward Place, is one of several developers diving into the hot multifamily market. Rents are rising, construction costs have moderated, many favor renting over owning, and financing is available. His project, which he estimates he can develop for $500/SF, was one of the largest US multifamily developments to break ground this year in terms of investment size.
