| The 1,855 rental apartments scheduled for construction in Boston this year indicate a wave of new multifamily development after a long draught. But it will be two or three years until the new units are ready for occupants. Until then, Boston Property's 86luxury rental apartments that will start leasing tomorrow atAtlantic Wharf (red brick portion of the complex, above) will have the field to itself. Otis & Ahearn will be staffing the office. The firm's senior project manager David Stewart says he thinks the Lofts at Atlantic Wharf will be the only new downtown apartment building to be completed this year. The apartments, from studios to two-bedrooms, will feature 10.5 foot ceilings and open floor plans. |
