Intercontinental Gets Creative

This being awards season, we learned that NAIOP New Jersey honored our own Intercontinental Real Estate Corp. for Creative Deal of Year. The company’s senior acquisitions officer Michael Keyes, here with CEO Peter Palandjian, accepted. Michael (who plays first line center on Intercontinental's hockey team) sourced the deal—the $215M redevelopment of a 730k SF data center at 800 Scudders Rd in Plainsboro into the US HQ for Danish pharma firm Novo Nordisk. Partners in the deal with Intercontinental: Ivy Equities; LCOR, HFF, Newmark Knight Frank, and Cushman & Wakefield. NAIOP says the project created 250 union construction jobs, 500 new permanent jobs, and retained 1,000 existing jobs in NJ.
