| It's about time the influence of TV crime shows reached architecture. Cannon Design's Peter Hourihan has plunged into his new role as the first Director of Research for the 1,000-person design and planning firm with offices around North America, Shanghai, and Mumbai. Peter says his goal is to heighten the ability of Cannon, where he's been 35 years, to do ?evidence-based? architecture. That means culling through emerging third party research to gather new info about buildings and how they function. He'll also be conducting research of his own to learn if Cannon projects perform as expected: ?We want to design based on ?outcome? and ?evidence? rather than intuition. We can't wait for CSI: Fenway. |
