| Suffolk Construction CEO John Fish (next to Mayor Menino) says that as a youngster grappling with dyslexia, sports helped him gain confidence and focus on academics. To return the favor, he started Boston Scholar Athletes in ’09 to help Boston public high school students use athletics to achieve in school. With an annual budget of $3M, the non-profit helps 4,000 high school children a year by providing study centers in 19 public high schools and equipment for their sports teams. |
