It was all about giving back when Mayor Menino held a breakfast reception for retailers like Boloco?s John Pepper (blue blazer) and brokers like Boston Urban Partners' Ann Erhardt (gray dress) for their part in bringing 45 new retail businesses to the Back Bay in the past year. Thirty new shops have opened including John's; 15 have signed leases or are under construction. Some of them learned of the leasing opportunities when the mayor hosted his retail tour a year ago that highlighted Newbury Street.
