| Skanska SVP Andrew Quirk leads the company's Center for Healthcare Excellence, providing construction and developmentconsulting for clients including Stamford Hospital in Connecticut, which is investing about $180M for construction of an addition, a new energy plant, and to renovate its existing hospital. Andrew says this reflects the need for hospitals to modernize facilities to serve more patients, more efficiently. Last month, Stamford started construction on the addition, which it expects to complete Q1 '13. Andrew says that Skanska USA Building gave Stamford pre-construction planning services and is the project construction manager. |
