BIG VERIZON EXPANSION

We try to stay level-headed when it comes to tech hype. (Check out our closet—only three iPads.) But it does appear Massachusetts has again flexed its tech muscle: Verizon extended its 140k SF lease and will expand into a soon-to-be-built 60k SF addition at Reservoir Woods East Campus, Waltham.
It's approximately a $20M deal,according to Marcus Partners' Paul Marcus, whose firm owns the office park with The Davis Companies and Prudential Real Estate Investors. Paul tells us the big investment was driven by development of Verizon?s next generation technology. The new Class A office/lab space will be the Verizon Technology Innovation Center. CBRE brokered the 10-year lease for the landlord and Verizon.
