| As if we didn't know … the Back Bay is a ?Great Place?, among the Top 10 neighborhoods in the US, so says the American Planning Association. Indeed, APA board director Angela Vincent recently presented the honor to Back Bay Association president Meg Mainzer-Cohen and Mayor Menino. The APA says that the Back Bay stands out for one of the nation's finest collections of Victorian houses. It also has a strong mix of offices, shops and residences; historic preservation balanced with new construction; great public spaces like Copley Square, the Esplanade and Commonwealth Avenue; a vision for future growth and community involvement in decision making. |
