The Transwestern RBJ flight continues.

Jamey Lipscomb, a former partner at Transwestern RBJ, has left the company for JLL, where he is now an executive vice president, his new firm announced Friday. He is joining JLL’s suburban brokerage team after 16 years in commercial real estate, including 15 at Transwestern RBJ and its precursor, Richards Barry Joyce & Partners. Houston-based Transwestern acquired RBJ in 2013 and renamed it Transwestern RBJ.

“I’m extremely proud of the opportunity that I had at RBJ and what we accomplished as a firm,” Lipscomb told Bisnow. “I can’t be prouder of those days. It’s a good opportunity to move on. Change is inevitable.”

His departure is the latest in a wave of partners leaving Transwestern RBJ. Bob Richards, a founding partner of RBJ, left his role as partner and joined Cushman & Wakefield earlier this month as executive vice chairman. Michael Joyce, another RBJ founding partner, announced in January he was leaving to join C&W as a vice chairman. Transwestern RBJ partners Thomas Ashe and Robert Byrne left to join C&W as executive director and managing director, respectively, the firm announced last week.

Lipscomb said he began looking for his own next steps as a result of contracts relating to the Transwestern/RBJ acquisition expiring over the winter, enabling him to explore new opportunities. JLL seemed like the best fit for him.

“There are a lot of people in management roles who have fostered an environment of collaboration, fun, doing the right things and doing it in a team environment,” Lipscomb said. “Where I’m coming from, it was very much that. If you’re happy at your job, you’re a better father, husband and employee at the end of the day.”
