The Hams Hall Unit Now Let To Dhl

Logicor has leased a 219K SF warehouse and distribution unit at Hams Hall Distribution Park, Birmingham, to DHL. The global logistics business has taken a new long-term lease.

Hams Hall is a well-established multimodal logistics, distribution and manufacturing location with direct access to Junction 9 of the M42. It is adjacent to the M6 and M6 toll road. The Hams Hall Rail Freight Terminal is situated to the south of the park and provides services to Europe as well as the rest of the UK.

“Alpha 1 was previously let to AX who had sublet part of the building to DHL. Working closely with both customers, we were able to move AX into another building within the Logicor UK portfolio, which allowed DHL to expand into the entire premises at Canton Lane,” Logicor Director of Asset Management Anthony McCluskie said.

The deal provides more evidence that there is no let-up in interest in West Midlands sheds after a record-breaking first quarter.

Yorkshire & the Humber and the West Midlands recorded particularly strong activity with take-up 79% and 71% above their respective five-quarter averages, Lambert Smith Hampton said. The West Midlands was home to the largest deal of the quarter, Pets at Home’s 670K SF build-to-suit unit at North Stafford Business Park.
