Atlanta's CRE world was stunned to find out that Scott Selig, part of the Selig Enterprises dynasty (on left, along with Mindy Selig Shoulberg, sister Cathy Selig and father Steve Selig), was just diagnosed with cancer.
Scott and family recently began a social media campaign on Facebook called #ScottStrong, where he revealed that what began as lung cancer had spread to his liver and brain, and was caught randomly when he had a physical. But friends and family say his courage and strength in facing this dreaded disease is inspiring.
"I will never know why. What I can do is take what I am given and make good come of it," Scott tells us via email. "I’m inspired more now than ever, to quickly beat this and move on to make our great city truly the best. That’s my passion. I am blessed to have an army of supporters. My army and I will beat this cancer and send it back where it came from, and then we will go back to making the change I know we can."
