Two high-profile Atlanta developers are eyeing the possible redevelopment of The Cheetah in Midtown.
Both Cousins Properties Inc. and Selig Enterprises Inc. have expressed interest with The Cheetah owners about buying the upscale adult nightclub that is housed on two acres at Spring and Eighth streets, across from NCR Corp.'s new headquarters, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. But aside from a potential steep purchase price, the Cheetah's parent company may not want to sell.
International Follies Inc. Vice President Jack Braglia confirmed that Cousins and Selig both expressed interest in the site, but told the publication, “I get a call at least once a week from someone. It's not for sale."
Zoning on the land could see developers pushing 800K SF of new commercial space in Midtown if a transaction were to take place.
