Related Project Could Raze Stone Buckhead Church

Could Buckhead be saying goodbye to a stone edifice of a church? The Related Group's latest proposal would certainly seem to say so. The Miami multifamily developer has submitted plans to the Buckhead Development Review Committee for a 26-story, 362-unit apartment tower at the corner of Peachtree and Stratford roads, The Buckhead View reports. The project is being done in a JV with Ackerman & Co (which owns the property and is under contract with Related to sell the parcel). The site is nearly across the street from another previously proposed Related project: a site behind Lenox Square that the developer eyed in a JV with Simon Property Group. [BV]
