San Diego developer Fairfield Residential is spearheading four apartment buildings in Grant Park, tailor-made for students and consumers who can't afford to pay the over $2/SF rents becoming common inside the Perimeter.
Fairfield filed permits with the City of Atlanta to begin development of its Grant Park Apartments at 290 MLK Jr. Dr, next door to the Mattress Factory Lofts apartments.
Fairfield officials did not return calls seeking comment. But, according to Central Atlanta Progress' website, Fairfield plans to develop a $55M, 321-unit apartment complex that's a mix of both student and affordable housing.
