An Atlanta developer is pursuing a major multifamily project in Atlanta's biggest economic development rival. TWO Capital Partners is breaking ground on Capital Crossing at Whitehall, a 271-unit Class-A apartment project in Charlotte adjacent to the 700-acre Whitehall Corporate Center project and a planned Topgolf attraction. Patterson Commercial Real Estate Advisory Group's Lance Patterson helped TWO obtain a construction loan with Texas Capital Bank. Lance says despite the growing caution among investors on multifamily, TWO's site is in the heart of burgeoning activity where little other Class-A multifamily is. Plus it's 15 minutes from Downtown Charlotte, he notes. TWO's only Georgia project to date is a 203-unit luxury apartment project in Savannah.
