Solution Property Group is about to tear down an old government warehouse to make way for a half-million SF distribution facility. Solution Property Group purchased the former General Services Administration building in East Point for an undisclosed sum. In turn, the developer will raze the 55-year-old building to make way for a new 538,500 SF bulk distribution center called Creekside at Langford Distribution Corridor.
"Distribution investment and redevelopment is moving back into dense population areas and economic hubs like Hartsfield-Atlanta International Airport," says Solution's Mal Hill (here).
Officials plan to target national retailers looking for e-commerce distribution space near the airport that could cut delivery time, and is scheduled to deliver by the fall. Cushman & Wakefield's Pat Murphy, Ray Stache and Spencer Green have been tapped to lease the project.
