Smucker's Seeks Up to 1M SF Distribution Center in ATL

Sources tell us that JM Smucker Co is in the market for anywhere from 750k SF to 1M SF in a move that could potentially double its industrial space in Atlanta.

JM Smucker, makers of jelly and other food stuff, first entered the Atlanta market in 2009 when it inked a nearly 600k SF deal in Fairburn at 1525 Oakley Industrial Blvd, an industrial building owned by DCT Industrial. Colliers International's Chicago office is leading the search for JM Smucker in Atlanta. The previous deal was repped by Colliers' Michael Spears and Sean Boswell, but neither could be reached for comment. DCT's Lisa Ward, in charge of its leasing in Atlanta, did not return calls seeking comment either.
