Oakmont Eyeing Second Warehouse Spec in Austell

Oakmont Industrial Group could be going spec on top of spec in Austell. Oakmont has filed development of regional impact plans with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs to move forward on Skyline II, an 823,600 SF distribution center along Hartman Road in Austell. Oakmont's Thomas Cobb tells us the plan is to go spec on the facility “subject to DRI, zoning, market conditions, etc.” Oakmont also is going spec on Skyline/20 West, a 605k SF distribution facility at 7875 White Rd that just got Cobb County approval earlier this month. Thomas says Oakmont is courting prospects for that development (here), but no deal has been done.
