Speaking of Henry County, a long time Atlanta industrial pro is making a 1M SF bet on the far flung metro Atlanta city of Locust Grove. Mike Demperio, who is now with Clayco, has filed documents for regional impact with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs for a proposed 1M SF distribution facility off Bill Gardner Parkway and Price Drive in Henry County. Details on the project are scant.

But Mike says, at least for now, Clayco is just entitling the site. Whether the firm will go spec or hold out for a build-to-suit remains to be seen. Nonetheless, the site is surrounded by other mega DCs, including ones used by The Home Depot, Nestle and Toys R Us.
