Legacy Ventures is moving forward on its $12M renovation of the Doubletree on Spring Street.
The firm filed permits with the City of Atlanta for interior work, including the ballrooms, on the 312-key hotel at 160 Spring St. Legacy, led by David Marvin (here), purchased the property last year for $42M. Once renovations are complete next year, Legacy plans to relaunch the hotel under the banner American Hotel Downtown Atlanta, a Doubletree by Hilton.
David was a panelist at our recent Atlanta Hotel Development Forum, where he revealed plans to develop two more Atlanta hotels for $40M, including one in Central Perimeter.
